How do I use it?
Choose where the file is going, such as USAJOBS, Indeed, or a government form, or enter the size limit shown on the upload page. Then choose a PDF or photo and tap Make it fit. Preview the result, then save it to Files or share it, and upload it on the website.
My file still doesn’t fit
- Check the limit on the upload page. Some sites list a limit in MB that’s smaller than it sounds; enter exactly what the site says.
- Scanned PDFs often need the image-only PDF option under Conversion options. It makes much smaller files but removes selectable text. Check every page before uploading.
- PDFs with forms, signatures, or annotations can’t be rewritten without breaking them. Export a flattened copy from the app that made it, then try again.
- Very small limits, such as under 100 KB for a multi-page document, may not be reachable while keeping text readable.
The website still rejected my file
Fit to Upload makes your file meet the size and format you chose. Websites can have other rules, such as page counts or file names. Check the site’s instructions, and email us the site name so we can update our list.
What do I pay for?
Previews are free, and files that already fit can be shared free. To save a file the app changed, choose either This document, which unlocks that one file, or Lifetime, which unlocks every file you prepare. Both are one-time purchases. There is no subscription.
Restoring purchases
Open Settings → Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account. Lifetime restores on all your devices. Files you already unlocked stay available in Recents. A document purchase you haven’t used yet stays on the device where you bought it.
Privacy
Your files never leave your device. See our privacy policy.
